DE-FENCE OF DEMOCRACY
An account of the massive protests in Quebec City, Canada against
the proposed Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA) last April. The
FTAA is a proposal 'free trade' block that would run from Alaska to
Argentina, with the USA as it's head. The FTAA would be an extension
of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and expand it's
agenda of privatisation and corporate power to what protesters see
as the detriment of humans and environment. - external production
